Face and Lip Fillers

Facial and lip filling, which is performed by injecting the filler under the skin, is performed to thicken thin lips, to treat scars, to remove deep and fine wrinkles on the skin surface, to eliminate pits in the skin, to give enough fullness to the cheeks. A youthful appearance is provided after face and lip filler injection treatment. The depressed expression on the face is removed with filling.
Over the years, sagging and wrinkles occur with the decrease of collagen fibre, elastic fibre, hyaluronic acid and fat layer in the skin. Sagging and wrinkles occur in the chin, neck, mouth, eyes, nose and forehead. Filler injection is used for wrinkles and sagging in the face area. Filler injection makes the lip look younger and fuller. Filler injection is also used for acne and scars on the skin surface.
How is Face and Lip Filling Performed?
Filler injection is performed under the skin defect and wrinkle area to eliminate the depression in the skin. The pits and wrinkles in this area are reduced or disappeared due to the filler. Hyaluronic acid is the safest filler today. This filler gives fullness and volume to the lips and is effective on wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Hyaluronic acid is injected into the lips and wrinkles in small amounts with a fine needle.
The effect of facial and lip filler injection is long lasting.  The risk of allergy and skin hardening is very low. Filling injection takes about half an hour. After the application, routine life can be resumed immediately. Although the duration of permanence varies depending on the person and the amount of hyaluronic acid applied, it is between 7 and 18 months.
How does the filler work?
The filler acts by providing fullness where it is applied on the face and lips. The effect of face and lip filler is further enhanced by the water retention feature in hyaluronic acid. Thus, the fullness effect provided by the filler also increases.
Which Areas Are Filled?
Fillers are injected into the lips to correct asymmetrical lips, to clarify the lip shape and to increase lip volume.  It is applied to the forehead lines, wrinkles around the mouth, lines between the eyebrows, for shaping the eyebrows, wrinkles from the edge of the mouth to the chin, nasolabial lines (wrinkle descending from the wing of the nose to the corner of the lip), and cheekbones.

How is Face and Lip Filling Performed?
With a thin needle, hyaluronacid is injected into the area to be filled. The gel fills under the wrinkles where it is injected. The filler does not require anaesthesia during injection. However, anaesthesia is needed in the lip area. The lip area is a very sensitive area. For this reason, anaesthetic cream is applied to the lips before lip augmentation and it is waited for about 20 minutes to numb.
The amount of filler to be applied to the lips is determined and the filler is filled with a thin injection. Lip filling, which is an easy procedure, takes about half an hour. After the application, you can return to daily life. Very little oedema occurs on the lips after the procedure. The swelling and oedema on the lips disappear in a few days and the lip takes its normal form. Do not consume very hot and very cold liquids after lip augmentation.
It is necessary to avoid hot (solarium and sunbathing) and cold for 2 days after facial fillers.

What are the Side Effects of Face and Lip Fillers?
Side effects of facial and lip fillers are rarely seen. There may be temporary redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness in the application area. Face and lip fillers are temporary. These fillers have a permanence that varies according to the person's lip structure, skin structure and daily life. Permanent filling is not preferred due to its side effects.
